London Overground Rail

London Overground Rail Operations Ltd. (LOROL) was originally formed by combining two of the most reliable and customer focused railways in the world. We are a joint venture company between MTR Corporation of Hong Kong and Deutsche Bahn AG of Germany (DB).

Since 2011, Arriva has been responsible for the growth and development of DB’s regional passenger transport in the UK. Both MTR and Deutsche Bahn have a reputation for delivering top quality customer service, which we will enhance with the London Overground. Our vision is to transform our railway, connecting communities across London and we aim to achieve this through our people, our greatest asset.

LOROL is the Train Operating Company (TOC) responsible for running the London Overground network which it does under a Concession Agreement with Transport for London (TfL).

TfL take a very close interest in how we deliver the service, ranging from the punctuality of trains to customer service at stations. TfL employ a dedicated team to monitor and support LOROL in the delivery of all the obligations set out in the Concession Agreement. This team works alongside LOROL at our headquarters in Swiss Cottage and a close partnership has developed between the teams.
